Unable to \\{ip} OR ]]{computer name}

When trying to enter a \\{ip} in the address bar (e.g. my laptops IP connected to my router: 192.168.2.100), it will jump back to the local drive/path I was in on my local PC (where FC is running). Computer name also won't work.

When browsing using the "my network places" icon above the address bar line, I am able to find my laptop and get into the share I created for drive D.

Even after the above, if I try to enter my laptop's computer name or IP - it won't get in. It also doesn't support $ shares such as $C, $D etc.
