After deleting files cursor jumps to ".."

#1 Post by mumajs » 08.12.2025, 09:25

Hello,

I am using "FreeCommander x64 donor build 939" and whenever I delete some file in the folder the cursor jumps to "..". I have a lot of log files in the folder which I am removing, some of them I know are not needed. Problem is I am in the middle of directory files and mark some files and shift+delete them. Cursor jumps after deletion to ".." and I have to again search where I was :(. It should select file near by deleted ones.

Can not confirm.
Try to provide more info, e.g. deletion method, view type (details, list,...), local disc or network, ...
Open FC new instance (Tools->Start new instance...) and delete file for testing if the same happens.

Sorry for not testing deeply myself first, but yes. It happens only on network drive and only when freecomander deletion method choosed. Does not matter if list or detailed view is selected. When explorer method used it is ok for network and also for local. When freecomander choosed it works localy but on remote shared folder it jumps to "..". Ehm and another testing brought another differences. When the shared folder is mapped to the drive letter it does not happen. But when the shared folder is opened like \\servername\shared folder it happen.
