I've got the "New item" menu button on the address bar. Can you include inside it new txt file?

I suppose the google docs and word documents were added by my PC. Is it possible that we can edit these menus ourselves?

Thanks

For "New" button you can click to .. item next to it and for "Use internal popup menu" use "$FcPopup_ShellNew", or just add "New text file" button directly.

I ended up doing as you suggested. What I wanted to avoid though was that it adds an arrow to the side of the icon making it take up more space which is never enough on a laptop.

Since I had to have the arrow anyway, I added a few more items to the menu that I use from time to time for quick access. If I can remember I put them there.

thanks...

Perhaps you could create more toolbars, "Splitter", "Left border", "Right border".

If you're using some actions often, create custom keyboard shortcuts.

I have been using the left and right toolbars and splitter like you suggested and it works very well. I haven't created any hotkeys yet so may give that a try.

Thanks for your help.

For anyone coming along later - This thread https://freecommander.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12282 solved the problem for me and put the text file into the menu as I wanted. Marek posts a file to add txt files to the right-click context menu which Windows 11 seems to have made some changes on and once I did that, the text file appeared in the New file menu as well.

However, I did learn about adding extra functionality to buttons like Dreamer showed so I am very appreciative of that and it's a great addition to how I can use FC better.
