Although then there should also be an option like

Tools > Settings > Rename/Create > Treat last dot in folder as delimiter between name and "extension"

so that non-crazy users who happen to have some dots in some folders and who happen to also not use the Use Only One Field option in Rename window will not have names of such folders split between fields of New Name and New Extension in that window
