Address Bar should retain its visuals when edited [proposal and question]

When I click within the Address Bar, it switches its visuals from



to



i.e. from using font and its settings that I had chosen for it to apparently those of Windows Explorer - because the same things happens when I do the same within the Address Bar of Windows Explorer

And so my proposal is to stop FC from coping WE behavior in this manner

But as I suspect that this would require a lot of code rewriting I should look for an alternative

And so my question is: is it even possible to somehow change the looks of such being edited / activated fields in Windows?



I am using FreeCommander version 880 32-bit public on Windows 10 Enterprise 20H2 19042.746 x64

Using the same font is not a problem - implemented for the next release.
