Applying filters to Copy / Move operations

#1 Post by cdevl » 14.07.2011, 00:00

Sorry if it was mentioned previously. I was excited when I saw that in a publicly available version of the XE beta I was able to apply a complex filter to my copy operation. That was a great feature that I desperately needed. When I installed the latest donor update I discovered that it was removed. Just wanted to find out if it is a temporary setback or a permanent "fix"? Hopefully it can be brought back.
In a last couple of days I again evaluated many different Explorer replacements (Speed Commander, Servant Salamander, ....) and even commercial once were lacking this feature to the same extent I saw in Free Commander. I truly believe that this is one of many details that potentially separates Free Commander from the rest of the pack and makes it the best. Please, don't take it away.

In FC XE you can use Windows or FreeCommander file operations. You can use the filters only for FreeCommander operations.
Please check the Settings for "File/folder operations" and set the options for "Use FC".

Thank you, Karol. It worked of course. I just got confused because in the earlier version of FC XE I did not have to enable that option it seemed to be set as a default. Great. Now I can switch to the latest donor update. Thanks again. :D
