Image Viewer Configuration

The File Search in FreeCommander 2009.02b under Windows 7 works very well, but when I search for images I have difficulty with the results list:
1. The internal viewer often distorts the images by fitting to screen and ignoring the aspect ratio, but the scope IS limited to selections in the results list.
2. If I specify the external viewer to be the Universal viewer, this problem vanishes but when I page back and forth the scope IS NOT limited to selections in the search results list.

Are there any configuration parameters I can modify?
