Disable Auto-Arrange

#1 Post by punkin » 11.05.2011, 17:35

Is there anyway to disable auto-arrange? I want it to behave like XP. If I copy files or create any files/folders to a folder, they should be appended to the bottom. If I navigate to another folder and then back to that folder, the files/folders can be arranged based on the default sorting setting.

Right now, the behavior in FreeCommander 2009.02b is similar to Windows 7. If I have clicked on any sorting previously at that folder, the "unsorted" feature is gone and everything becomes auto-arranged. It is extremely annoying.

Can it be configured? The Windows 7 auto-arrange feature really bothers me. After more than 6 months using Windows 7, I still hate this auto-arrange on my Detail/List Views. I hope FreeCommander somehow can have this feature (disable auto-arrange) in place. I really like the Dual-panel in FreeCommander; it is very nice.

Thanks.

It is configurable in FreeCommander XE:
Settings->File/folder list: Refresh: Add new items at the end of the list.
