Transparency in the thumbnail view

I downloaded the public preview 532, the zip version. In thumbnail view, on pictures with large dark areas, the dark areas are shown transparent in the thumbnails. Sometimes those areas are completely transparent and sometimes there are just clusters of transparent pixels. I am running it on windows XP sp3
