"Access denied" error on network drive that opens in explore

I tried to open a shared network drive in Free Commander and got an "Access denied" error followed by a "System cannot find the file specified" error. The same drive opened fine with explorer. Other drives on the same host computer opened fine in explorer but did not open in Free Commander (giving the same error). The drive the host had their share to allow "all" to have read permissions. The credentials for accessing the host are cached on the client machine (the host appears with the "net use" command).

How can I access my shares with Free Commander?
