Please Keep available the Dual Tree Panel & Horizontal View

#1 Post by memo » 01.05.2010, 18:48

Hello Everyone:

First of all, thanks so much to Marek Jasinski; you are a genius, you have created the best file manager.

My request is simple: Please Keep available the Dual Tree Panel with Horizontal View. This is because the user can have FULL CONTROL without confusions. People who use a 3rd party file manager are fanatics of clear and precise information; so, with the Dual Tree Panel at Horizontal View the user can manipulate files and folders between different drives/hard disks with real certainty; even more, that feeling is enhanced having details enabled.

Please have a look at my FreeCommander configuration through this screenshot:
A) Two Horizontal Panels
B) Each panel has: one folder tree view sub-panel and one file details view sub-panel.

Nonetheless, if the file manager can be configured only with ONE tree folder panel regardless the layout then its full control power is dramatically reduced due to confusion between folders on the left and files in the right on any panel because at the moment to open, copy, paste, delete, etc. any given file could be misinterpreted to belong a wrong folder leading to disorientation between file(s) and a specific folder. This kind of configuration is exposed as the future FreeCommander; its screenshot:

To me it's the big issue with Explorer2. I had plenty of misinterpretation and mistakes managing files and folders; and at the end I did not know which file belong to that folder.

It's a matter of order, logic and common sense; and this kind of feature is available with FreeComander and that's the main reason why I'm a FC fan and user.

Thank you,

Memo

One tree per panel
Position:

right-right
left-right
right-left
