Append new items to running background FTP transfer

It'd be great if there was a possibility to add more items to a background ftp transfer. I'm just uploading a few larger files to an ftp, and realized that there's more to upload, but I can't really open a new thread (FC won't let me drag more files to the other file pane, and FTP's are usually limited to a number of concurrent connections, mine's at 2, so while I'm browsing it, I can't have more than 1 background connection running), nor can I drag files to the background transfer window/file list to add them.
Now, I just have to:
1. cancel the running background process
2. wait for the current background upload to finish, and upload the remaining files again (which I'll probably forget while working on other things)

I'd expect this to be:
1. in the context menu, like "add to background transfer>Active transfer" (a submenu probably, some users might be background-uploading files to more ftp's)
2. drag'n'drop files to background transfer window [file list]
