Drag and drop copy/move from outside FC

I see here that the bug has supposedly been fixed (Sigh!).

On my Vista Home Premium system it's still alive and kicking! I can drag items from FC and drop them onto the desktop, but when I try to drop something from the desktop into a folder open in FC, I consistently get the 'no entry' symbol in place of the mouse pointer, no matter where I move it within the FC window - and letting go of the mouse button has no effect.

The "Show popup menu for left button drop" option is not active, but I've tried activating that, and it makes no difference.

I'm using a freshly downloaded copy of the 2009.02 donor version.

N.B. I can still achieve the same thing by doing Ctl-C on the desktop item and then a Ctl-V in the relevant FC pane, and that works fine.
