How to backup favorite folders? Where are they stored?

#1 Post by pilou » 12.08.2009, 11:51

Hello,

I use a FreeCommander portable version and can't find where favorite folders are stored.
I would like to be able to backup and/or copy them to another FreeCommander portable version.

Thanks for your help.

They are stored in the freecommander.ini in section [DirFavorit]

To find the freecommander.ini, it is easy.
In freecommander, press Alt + F7 to enter the "Search files/folders" page, type in freecommander.ini in the File Name textbox, press Enter to start the search.
Then inside this ini file, you can find or set your favorite folders. I always like to backup it in case I need to re-install my Windows or copy the setting to my laptop.
