Using FreeCommander When Saving Files

#1 Post by dlevitt » 04.06.2009, 20:18

Is there a way to have Windows Vista default to FreeCommander interface when saving files. For example when I go to save an Excel file I get the standard Windows Explorer type interface. It would be nice to get a FreeCommander interface instead.

Thanks,

David

Nope. Open/Save dialogs are hard-coded into the Windows system, except for programs that have their own built in. You would have to re-write all the code to make a call to anything else. There are ways to add features to dialog boxes, but I don't know what is available for Vista (I'm an XP h4x0r lol).
