Right Click Problem

#1 Post by JXBlack » 30.05.2009, 10:22

Occasionally I lose the right mouse button control. I click but the right click menu does not come up which means I can't do anything except drag files around. It may work for an hour or two but then its gone and I need to close the program and then re open it. This usually solves the problem.

Any suggestions?

I am currently running FC 2005.09a.

Thanks

The first thing I would do is upgrade to the current version.

Thank you for your reply.

I have installed FC 2009.2 but the problem continues.

I am operating WinXp SP 2.

Any other suggestions?

When this happens, does the problem exist in other apps.
Also, if you use ALT+Tab to switch to another app then back, does this solve the problem?

Thank you for your reply.

Since I installed FC 2009.2 the incidence of this fault has diminished, but it occurred 3 times today. I have just noticed that when the right click fault appears I lose all activity of the top two rows of FC ie File,Edit.Folder etc and the row of icons below.

This exact problem does not occur in any other application but when I am playing with my Desktop I get occasional crashes of my Windows Explorer.

ALT+Tab does not give me my right click function back but thankfully closing and re opening program still works.

Thanks again for your assistance
