Can't get Muti rename to work!?...

I just downloaded ver. 2008.06.c. I have a whole bunch of files I need to remame, but can't seem to get Multi rename to work. I've gone through the Forum and haven't found any help for this issue. I have files that are of the format

nla.pic-anxxxxxxxx-v (where these x's are digits)

that I want to rename as

pic-anxxxxxxxx-v.jpg

but nothing I've tried seems to work

Can someone please tell me how to get this done?

two steps:
1. rename all with "[e].jpg" in extension field (now they are all jpg-files)
2. rename all with "[n,5]" in name field (now the name is without the first 4 signs)
