Search dialog work incorrect

#1 Post by Droh » 23.12.2008, 08:41

Search dialog work incorrect. When I type field "containing text" and try search, not found files if it case differents. CheckBox "case insensitive" is off. It can be found only when I divine case symbols.
Sorry my bad English.

Is this what you mean? I use large fonts, and that makes a lot of things awkward for me. But it looks as if the find dialog is not arranged right, or not adjusting properly.

I don't have any problems with it, but I can read upside-down too. It makes me squint ;)

I don't understand last comment (of matera). English is not my language.
I repeat problem. For examle:
I need find all files in the directory that include word "between" in any case. I don't know what case it can be (uppercase, lowercase, or mixed) (BETWEEN, between or BetWeen).
When i try find it with option "case insensitive" = off, I see found files only if I type word without differents in case. If I type differents (Between), but file include "BetWeen", it is never find. Never in FreeCommander.

"case insensitive" means - you can type lower and upper case. Normally, you should have the option checked. Maybe the translation is not correct in your language?

I see now. You must have "Case insensitive" ON, have it checked. Then you should get what you want -- it will not matter if there are capitals or not. If you search for "between" you will find Between, betwEEn, BETween -- whatever.
