Hi,
QUESTION:
In folder synchronize, what is the difference between the unequal sign and the arrow that does not have a dot?
I am comparing a folder that contains about 500 folders that each have about 4 files each (or more).
The same folder exists on 2 different drives and just one is needed.
They should be identical but they are not the same size for some reason.
But in synchronize, when I click on the unequal sign nothing is shown.
If they are not the same size, does that not mean that they are unequal?
However, when clicking the arrow that does not have a dot (i.e.: exists on both sides)
One side appears with a bunch of files to overwrite on the other side.
Why is this? That is the reason for my question.
Sincerely,
Dan

The synchronize dialog is described here: https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/Synchronize.html
You use probably "Date" option for "Compare by". If one file exists on both sites and the size is not equal, the arrow will be showed for the file from newer to older file.
Unequal sign will be shown if you deactivate "Date" and activate "Checksum".
Arrow sign with star will be shown if the file exists only on one site.
