FreeCommander XE 2023 Build 891 64-bit donor Win7
STR:
1. Go to a folder with more files than will fit in the the current view.
2. Set the folder to show created and modified timestamps.
3. Select the first file.
4. Select all files (typically via Ctrl+A).
5. In the dialog box that allows the user to change the attributes/timestamps of selected files, one of the tabs allow you to set the timestamps to match file Exif data. Go to that tab, and update all files to have the created timestamp match the modified timestamps.
6. Scroll down in the file pane.
7. Notice that it appears that step 5 did not work for the files beyond those initially visible in the pane. The created timestamps for files beyond those initially visible in the pane appear to not have been changed.
8. Manually refresh the file pane.
9. Notice that step 5 did, in fact, work.
I think the solution is to always refresh the affected pane after changing timestamps (such as in step 5).
891 - File timestamps appear to have not changed, but have changed
Re: 891 - File timestamps appear to have not changed, but have changed
Did you mean
Main Menu > File > Attributes/Timestamp... > Operation [TAB] > Set timestamp [SUB-TAB] > Created [CHECK BOX]
and / or
Main Menu > File > Attributes/Timestamp... > Operation [TAB] > Set timestamp [SUB-TAB] > Modified [CHECK BOX]
option?
If yes then:
A] I have no problem with getting all selected items getting their timestamps changed
B] I had a problem locating this feature, as I do not use it at all, hence unnecessarily wasted time on this step
C] Some users might not now the difference between created, modified and accessed attributes, thus might use the last one and hence make the whole test potentially futile
So in the future please be super specific

It seems to work OK for me.1.

I think you are in detail view mode?
How many files have you in the folder?
Have all files Exif data?

Yes, I am in detail view mode.
The folder has about 400 files.
The folder is on an external 2.5" bus-powered platter-based drive connected via USB. I need to check, but I think that drive only supports USB 2.x connections.
All the files have Exif data.
