A warning when panels are the same folder would be nice.

To avoid believing having save files then delete them true story

Only as an option.
I often have the same folders in both panels.
This allows for example easy copying a file under an new name into the same folder.
To recover deletions there are backups and the Recycle Bin.

Preferably with indication in form of some icon change on Splitter [like turning from grayed out to red] and / or color change of paths in Address Bar and of Tabs
