Password-protected shared disk drive: login issue

There is an issue with FC: for a password-protected shared disk, it is impossible to open it by the means of FC. The login dialog does not work - it just asks for login/password, but does not connect to the disk.
The workarond found is to click on the drive icon with right mouse button and choose "Explorer" from drop-down menu. Only after this, login dialog accepts login/password and FC can access this drive.
