I've been using FreeCommander's synchronise feature to do my backups for a while now, but after upgrading to 2008.6 I have the following problem.
When I copy files from the left pane (source) to the right pane (backup) then it does not write the timestamp of the source file but rather the date that the file was copied.
Subsequent compares therefore show that my backup file is newer and thereby indicating that it should be restored.
I use XP Pro SP3 and 2008.6 portable.
My source is a USB HDD (NTFS) and my backup is a Linkstation NAS (linux filesystem).
I'm also experiencing other timestamp issues where target file will have a timestamp of up to 2 hours difference to the source file. (That is, if it did not get the date of the copy itself.) Presumable because I'm GMT+2?
My NAS is set to synchronise with an ntp server and always seems to have the same dat as my source pc.
Any ideas as I cannot seem to get to the bottom of these errors.
Thanks
Paul
