restore session not working

This week I updated from win7 (freecommander 2009.02b) to win10 (FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public)
For some reason my tabs aren't being restored (the according setting is set). Any ideas? My folder is in \program files (x86)\ (tried it in some different location and doesn't work either)

it's all new config obviously. first thing I did was to compare the .ini files. I renamed \Settings too, let it re-generate a new one. Same issue.
do you have log files?
I installed the .exe version too. Same issue. Let FC write config into \Program files, let FC write config into %homepath%, same results.

It's always the selected tab that gets restored.
oh ok, found it: TabCloseNotLockedOnClose=1

It was a misunderstanding, I thought you want to use the settings from old 2009 version in XE version. Anyway, it's in the FAQ too.
