With Build 804 64-bit donor Win 10 Version 1809 often Wait-Symbol "Throbber" visible when accessing local subfolders.

Not confirmed here under Windows x64 version 1903
Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4351)
Everything Version 1.5.0.1396a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.5.5, Listary Pro 6.3.2.88
FreeCommander XE 2025 Build 933 64-bit donor

I can't confirm either. What is your HW? How many subfolders/files are there?

Try this:
Search in the freecommander.ini for FileListItemColorsSetInThread and change the value to
FileListItemColorsSetInThread=1
