Rename consecutively larger numbered items

#1 Post by Cesky Expat » 21.10.2015, 18:09

When I am renaming several items and wish to change for example from IMG_3186 to NewFileName-001 and I have say a dozen images that are thus numbered IMG_3186 to IMG_3197 and I want them all renamed to NewFileName-001 through to NewFileName-012 I do not see a method for doing this.
Now I am relegated to renaming each one individually with Windows Explorer.
Please help and if this is not possible maybe it can become a feature in future revisions.

Use Multirename and add this in the Name field, where Counter has 3 digits:

Code: Select all

NewFileName-[c]
