Drag & Drop not working

I am a happy user, though I cannot figure out how to drag & drop files or folders.

For instance cut and paste some test files to the desktop in the drive bar is not possible.

Then I tried to copy some files to a folder in my personal favorites bar,
but instead of the copy the folder in the folder fav. toolbar gets opened in a tab.

then I dragged the files to the left in the "favorites tree diplay" but then the files were added there
instead of copy&paste or cut&paste.

How does drag&drop work in FC XE latest beta version?

thanks for your help joby_toss. unfortunatelly your link does not solve the issue.

exactly as shown in your screen shot, I have ticked both:
- "Activate drag&drop in the file list" which enables drag & drop for file container.
- "Activate drag&drop in the tree" which enables drag & drop for folder tree.

as shown in my video, I would like to use drag & drop (cut+paste or copy+paste) in the drive bar (desktop Icon), my custom favorite toolbar and favorites tree (not folder tree).

could you test drag & drop to the drive bar, custom favorites toolbar and favorites tree works on your computer? cheers.

No, it doesn't work.

You can use the Folder tree (Alt+T) instead.

too bad, this is a basic function for a file manager I think
cut & paste or copy & paste works even in alpha software

only copy & paste has been implemented - cut & paste = move does NOT work!
dragging (moving) files to the opposite pane works just fine (as indicated by the "move to desktop" icon),
but when dropping files the desktop icon in the drive bar, instead of a cut & paste = move a copy & paste = copy is fulfilled.
pressing SHIFT or CTRL did not help.

I also noticed the desktop folder was not refreshed after the operation when using window commands (File/folder operations) in VMWARE, see end of video:

before posting another glitch, let's have a look how sweet copy (copy&paste) and move (cut&paste) is implemented in dopus.

as promised, obviously %username% is not resolved correctly under favorites items.
as shown below, the same setting is used in the fav toolbar and fav item, but drag&drop fails into fav items.
tested and reproduced with fresh settings in build 698, the issue is reproducible virtually
and in a slightly different manner natively as well.
