To move files between folders, I find drag & drop to be the most convenient.
The catch with drag & drop is that if you accidentally drop a file onto an executable, it will run the executable using that file as the data.
I don't see an option to turn this off. If there isn't one, can one be added?
Prevent accidentally running applications via drag & drop
Re: Prevent accidentally running applications via drag & dro
Having accidental actions taking place on drag&drop is one of the most annoying things for me. It's incredibly frustrating when I use windows explorer and I get a folder move into another one just because my double click wasn't perfect.
That's why I always use a pop-up menu in FC:

Thanks Joby.
I agree, and so have that option enabled. It does help. What I'm think of is an option that when dropping on an area of a pane that happens to be occupied by an executable file (or it's horizontal line area), that FCXE would just treat it like any other area within the pane (just move/copy the file).
I do have "Full row select" turned on, which magnifies the problem, but I find that feature rather essential.
