Compared to Windows Explorer and Total Commander and other applications the mouse wheel scrolling in the files/folders listviews is slow in Free Commander XE (and probably also in the released versions). In seems that the list scrolls each mouse wheel step individually without properly handling large/fast scrolling actions. This is the major reason why I'm still preferring to use Total Commander.
I'm developer myself and I think this should not be a major issue. Just compare the fast scrolling behavior between Free Commander XE and Windows Explorer to reproduce the issue.
I'm running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on a pretty fast developer workstation.
Thanks!
Scrolling in directory/file list is slow
Re: Scrolling in directory/file list is slow
I'm still experiencing this in recent versions. I'm using Windows 8.1 and scrolling is painfully slow.
Interesting thing is that it's much faster when I have maximized window with FC and my mouse cursor is hovering second panel (inactive one). So when I hover active panel (where I'm scrolling) it gets very laggy.
