What is Quick Starter and Linked Browsing

#1 Post by wrbird » 04.03.2014, 22:35

Can anyone explain to me what quick starter and linked browsing do? What's their purpose?

Thanks.

Linked browsing lets you navigate both panes at the same time so long as the folder structure is the same. This is useful for navigating through both your dev and production websites' folders simultaneously.

Thank you for the response and when it's useful. Now I understand why I never used it, because I never need to do that :)

And Quick starter allows you to create collections of files (repositories) for... quick launching them (I used the mouse in this recording only for demonstration purposes, it's faster using only the keyboard):

Thank you for the explanation. How is quick starter different than creating a folder and populating it with shortcuts?

if you're a mouse-guy I suppose this would even be a better method

- if you're a keyboard-junky Quick Starter beats your suggestion by far
- and it's available from everywhere as it has got a global shortcut
