Edit Function in Internal Viewer (not Quick View)

#1 Post by wrbird » 18.10.2013, 16:47

In settings I added my PDF program as an editor and have *.pdf as the filter. When I have the file selected in FCXE and hit the edit icon on the action toolbar, my PDF program opens with the selected file. Just as I would expect. However, when I'm using the viewer, the program opens, but the file isn't opened in it. Does anyone know how to solve this? The default parameter is %ActivSel%. Maybe it needs to be something different?

In my configuration viewer for .pdf files in FC XE is not set. Adobe Reader 11 is installed as default program to open .pdf files in Windows. When I open .pdf file with F3 in FC XE it is opened in internal FC XE viewer with the use of Adobe Reader 11 (Adobe Reader 11 is opened in internal viewer). It works great!

Yes, mine works that way too. Now, within the viewer... never mind, it's working now. Maybe I had to close out of FCXE for the setting to take effect or something.
