Forum not sending notice of "New beta version"

Salvete! Marek, I stopped receiving emails from the "New beta version" thread as to updates on that thread. The last one I received was in August, and I missed the last two version until yesterday when I realized you had released a new one. I have the thread subscribed, and it isn't getting caught in spam. Does my board account need reset or something?

Hello, again! I stopped receiving emails from the FreeCommander Forum - they just stopped coming. Can I get it to work again?

I dont know if it will help - but if you are logged in you can go to the "User control panel" of the board and have a look on:

- Overview / manage subscriptions (topic subscribed??)
- Profile / edit account settings (email??)

Perhaps give a try to unsubscribe plus new subscribe of the topic?

For me the notification works perfectly for many years - so it should be no general problem....

I think, maybe, if you don't visit the forum for awhile (I went away for awhile), then it stops sending mail. I *did* receive the notice of this last post of yours!

Thanks, Scott. Since I revisited the other day (to post to this thread, actually!), I am now recieving forum updates again - I recieved this one, with your kindly reply, just today.

I have likewise not been receiving notices of beta updates, although I am subscribed.

It turned out that I wasn't receiving any forum notices was because my email service was blocking them! Once I whitelisted the forum address, notices came through regularly.

I think the notices stop if you don't log into the forum after a certain amount of time. I notice that every time I make a post, I start receiving notices. And if I post regularly, I always receive the notices. However, I haven't figured out how long the timeout is. In my experience, it wasn't due to to spam cyphering.

Ah, so we had two different reasons for not receiving notifications.

I noticed that I stopped receiving automatic email notices about forum posts - although I am signed up to receive everything.

This is because, I think, a certain amount of time passes since my last visit.

If I visit every day, I never miss any notices.
But if I go for over a week without visiting the site, I don't get notices any more!

Is there a way to increase the amount of time before notices stop being sent?

I've signed up for notices on all posts in the forum, but if I go away for two weeks and don't visit the website, my notice stop coming.

Is there any way to fix that?
