FreeCommander vs. Norton Commander

#1 Post by GordonXFreeman » 11.12.2012, 15:03

I am an old school NC user. I just happened upon FreeCommander XE. I have been playing with it and like it. One thing I am stuck on....I can't figure out how to setup my panels like I use in NC. Left Panel - Quick View / Right Panel - File Tree.
I like to navigate down through files to see what they contain quickly.

Any ideas on how to do this via FC?

Thanks!

Sure! Ctrl+q toggles quickview mode for the inactive panel.

CTRL-Q now splits the windows into two with the viewer below and still a tree above.

I would like to have the full left panel to be a viewer and the full right panel to be the files and directories.

Thanks again!

Ctrl+T toggles the tree.

There are more options under "View" menu.

ATL-T toggles the tree. Drag it left/right to the desired size.

CTRL-Q toggles Quick View. Drag the height of the window to the desired size, all the way if you wish.
