Favorite folders - multibyte characters do not work.

#1 Post by Taesoo Kwon » 26.12.2007, 12:19

I am using FreeCommander 2007.10a version with windows XP korean version (which is properly updated.)

I found a bug that "favorite folders" command does not correctly handling multibyte characters.

For instance, in korean version of windows XP, the desktop folder is located in
"c:\documents and settings\username\바탕 화면"

For easy explanation, let me name the above folder using english letters as
"c:\documents and settings\username\AB CD"

Here, A, B, C, and D denote multibyte characters.

Then, after registering the above folder as a favorite, if I click the favorite folder, then an error message appears:
"Directory not found c:\documents and settings\username\AB"

Here is a link to a screen shot.
