stable 64bit download

#1 Post by edgchacon » 18.08.2015, 18:37

Hi I donated and I see all the current available downloads. But which version is a "stable" version?
I seem to have problems with my current version(FreeCommander XE 2015 Build 694 64-bit donor) losing locked tabs or even losing keyboard shortcuts at random times.

Thanks,
Edwin

Stable version is FC XE 685 http://freecommander.com/en/downloads/
For donors latest versions are available, but they could have some problems. Try to downgrade to some previous donor version, for example till 692.

Hi Edwin, welcome to the FC forum.

Could you explain, which problems do you have with the latest version, please?

Regarding the tabs, I have no problems with locked tabs, in the latest version 694 x64, Win 7 x64, or in any previous versions.

Losing keyboard shortcuts - which exactly and when? If you restart FC, it solve the problem? I had some problems in previous versions, reported, they were quite random, FC restart always solved the problem, currently I have no problems.

Several times during the day just switching to from tab to tab, FC just hangs with the windows spinning circle. I wait about 2 minutes and it works after that.

I have lost all my shortcut keys all of a sudden w/o any notice after pressing one of of the actual shortcut keys i customized

I lost about 4 tabs that were locked/w navigation.

I am running this on Windows 10 Pro

I am about to change the Windows Compatibility Mode to Windows 7 to see if it works any better.

Weird, what about the backup? Try to recover the settings from backup. I don't have the Win 10 yet, but you can try to save settings, close FC and then recover if needed.

BTW you can try to move the FC folder to another folder, out of C: - just temporary.

When the issue happened, I tried to restore from backup, but it didn't change anything.

Since I changed the programs compatibility mode to Windows 7, it seems to work better.
I'll post if any more issues arise.
