Sorry, I misunderstood. On my thumbdrive I have autorun.inf file with line "icon =autorun.ico". The icon is located in the thumbdrive root folder with the inf file. This icon only appears when I plug in the thumbdrive, and only for that drive. It is explained in more detail here:

Re: Folder icon
If the custom icon is specified in the autorun.inf file, have you tried commenting it out? Just place a semicolon in front of the line.

Re: what is fccontextmenu64 in systray
Actually, ShowContextMenu64Bit only determines which context menu will be used for right-click and which one will be used for Win + right-click combination. If the value is 1, the 64-bit context menu will be shown, and Win + right-click combination will access the 32-bit context menu. If the value ...

Re: 596 - Network Discovery
Oops! I added "NetworkLoadOnPrgStart=0" to the beginning of freecommander.ini file, not realizing it was already present as "NetworkLoadOnPrgStart=1" further down in the file. I've corrected my error and now I no longer get the warning message. Thanks again for your help and for all your hard work.

Re: 596 - Network Discovery
Thanks for the quick reply. However, it made no difference. I still get the "Network Discovery is turned off" message whenever I start FCX.
Edit: I am using Vista x64.

596 - Network Discovery
Thanks for this new version. However, there is a small problem. Every time I start FCX, I get a warning that Network Discovery is disabled. Since I am not on a network, I have that service disabled, as are any services I do not need.

Re: 581 - Loses color in status bar
Edit: 582 Still losing text color changes to status bar. I can interactively change the text colors, and they remain so until I exit and restart FCXE, at which time the colors are all black again. After examining the INI file, I see that all values for status bar text color are saved as -16777208 ...

581 - Loses color in status bar
Status bar text coloring reverted to all black. I set all text colors again, and saved settings. After closing and reopening FCX, the text colors have reverted to all black again. Using Windows Vista x64.

Re: Cannot open subfolders of Sysnative (System32) folder
That's strange. Using FC 2009.02a, I can enter c:\windows\sysnative\ in the address bar and goto the System32 folder. I can then double-click on drivers folder and it does go into the drivers folder. If I perform the same sequence with FC XE build 566, double-clicking on the drivers folder does ...

Cannot open subfolders of Sysnative (System32) folder
If I enter c:\windows\sysnative into address bar, I indeed go to the System32 folder. However, if I double-click on a subfolder, FC remains in the Sysnative (System32) folder. I am using FC XE latest build 566. In previous build, the same behavior caused an error window to pop up. I am running Vista ...

Re: Status Bar Font
No kidding!? Well, for some reason it's not working for me. No matter what font I select, it remains unchanged. If it's a system problem, I don't know what it would. So, I'll just have to live with it, for now. Thanks for the reply, and for all your hard work.
