Very cool. Thank you. Great tool, as you already know, for demonstrating how-to info.joby_toss wrote:Sorry for the off-topic: I used LICEcap to record an animated .gif and uploaded the result to Imgur. No other processing was needed.

Re: Prevent Tree Selection From Changing Active Tab?
Ideally I would like to be able to right-click an item on the tree and be able to select something like "Follow In Active Tab" or something to that effect. Another nice feature would be to add a popup menu item to the tree selection for opening the selection in a new tab. I'm not an expert on tabs ...

Hi.
Does MTP mean, that I should be able to copy pictures eg. from an iPhone? Yes. Phones connect with MTP protocol, normally only accessible through Windows Explorer (since no drive letter is assigned as it is with MSC protocol connections from removable devices like SD flash card readers).

This is how I do it using the mouse: Very neat, how you made that little video and posted it here.
What software did you use to perform the actual "capture" of your mouse movements?
And once the capture video was made, how did you then edit/convert it to a form suitable for insertion into the ...

What does "no interface was found" mean?
Whether or not you improve the English text shown in the message box, the real issue is the error occurring at all.
Can you try this on a Win7 system, just to confirm that it also still works for you or not? I only have Win7 systems myself, and don't have a ...

Re: Selecting multiple files with - keyboard shortcut?
First, you should download the latest public beta build 665 which fixes a number of issues.
Second, although I've not used it some searching in FCXE Help points to:
Tools -> Settings -> Select items, and then click on the "NC-Mode (sticky selection)" tab.

666 - F5/F6 from MTP device doesn't work
Just testing out the implemented F5/F6 logic now present in donor build 666. Unfortunately it still doesn't work.
Yes, the previous problem where the incorrect file name was populated into the confirmation dialog has been fixed. The dialog now shows the correct FROM file name.

Open the tabs for C: and D: as you want. Also the tabs you wish for the other panel.
Right click on each tab (you want to stay permanently) and chose one of the "lock folder" entries.

Not that I know of.
There is a setting (Tools -> Settings-> View -> Tree -> Management tab -> "make selected node automatically visible") which you've probably got checked already, which remembers the NODE in the left pane (i.e. "tree") so that it is SELECTED and visible when you re-open the ...

Re: Change EXIF date from 'date modified' to 'date taken'?
The internal EXIF metadata should show "date/time original". I don't believe that would change if you rotated or otherwise edited the image.
