Re: FreeCommander XE Portable

Thanks ...
I wondering if my FCXEpα has/had dead ini entries from 9b?
After I posted my question above, I put my ini/shc fils in my FreeComm dir and launched FCXEpα.
FCXEpα seems to have adopted my .shc without any problems.

After I read your reply, I backed up my existing FCXEpα.ini file, removed ...

Re: FreeCommander XE Portable

I am going to try the FC XEß.
I would like to ask/know if I can "safely" start/use FC XEß by copying in my current FC 9b ini & shc files?

... Apparently not ...

XE hotkeys and context menu

It would optimize the GUI if users could have
one tree & two panes (like with x² & 2xEx).
coming in next version, according to the screenshots Marek posted.
I'm drooling over those ...... I'm wondering when we might see the stable version release of the "new" FC?

I also would like to know where ...

but the hotkey didn't toggle anything ...
I've never (not yet) had a FreeComm hotkey problem.

Re: Desired GUI Enhancements

30June2010

Greetings.
I guess the next FreeComm release is behind schedule?

Is there or will there be a way for FC to NOT display
the file extension in the name column?

Thanks for the reply.
I'm looking forward to the next FC version ...

I've used the AHK "WinSet, Region" feature
to (somewhat) customize the FC GUI.

It seems to me that FC could enhance the column customizations.

27September2009

Greetings.
Thanks for the replies/solution.

I've gone further with customizing FC.
The "Favorites" presents a slight hotkey problem.
FC assigns the "Favorites" locations Ctrl-Shift-1, C-S-2 & etc. hotkeys.
I already have C-S-1, C-S-2, C-S-3 assigned to AutoHotKey scripts.
I've been ...

25September2009

Greetings.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm using the portable version, and
there is no freecommander.shc file in the FC directory.
Maybe the portable version doesn't create freecommander.shc?

Any helpful replies/insights appreciated.
Thank you.
