The fastest way to display PDF files is using the viewer from the system:
Menu Tools -> Settings -> Viewer -> - Viewer (Button) -> General (tab):

Include the PDF (.pdf) extension in Windows Preview box to let Windows use the internal viewer.

I installed the PDF viewer plugin below, added it in the "Plugins" tab in the Viewer configuration, but when I restart FreeCommander, it always disappears.
Any ideas why it is disappearing after being added, and what I can do to be able to preview PDF files? I know I could install something like ...

The quick view panel often changes width when I open FreeCommander. I have it set to the right side. Sometimes it's about an inch wide, other times 2 or 4 inches. I'm using FC XE 2020 build 829.

Is there any way to keep it a consistent size?

I found the problem, I didn't have the FileCompare variables:

--diff %FileCompare1% %FileCompare2%

I've defined the following program under Settings -> Programs -> Compare files:

Program:
"D:\Users\bernie\AppData\Local\Programs\Microsoft VS Code\Code.exe"

Parameters:
--diff

For filter I just used "Code".

But when I try to compare two files the dialog still pops up saying to define an external ...

Nevermind, I have Visual Studio Code installed which should work.

The option to compare files requires an external program. Can someone please recommend some programs that might be used for this purpose?

In File Explorer I can access my linux files in the windows subsystem linux directory below. Freecommander does not seem to be aware of \\wsl$ though.

Is there any way I can access my linux files using Freecommander?

FreeCommander is often very sluggish when accessing a share I have mapped on my laptop from a Synology NAS. Windows Explorer doesn't seem to have any issues accessing the same share. Is there anything I can do to increased access speed to a network share?
