Re: Unable to drag-n-drop folders outside of FC with names greater than 33 characters.
I've performed some further tests using v. 901.
It appears to be something to do with having a period somewhere in the name.
This works

Double clicking a jpg file returns error instead of opening in viewer
Hi
I've FC set up so if I double-click on a .jpg in file list it will open in FC's internal viewer, the equivalent of pressing F3.
However in a search files (Ctrl+F) results list, double clicking it returns this error:

Re: FileContainer jumps to parent folder but only when using a custom .ini file
I am using folder tree.
Prompted by your comments I closed FT & the program.
Upon restarting I reopen FT & all seems to be stable.
I'll send the ini file if it reoccurs (I assume as I restarted, the ini problem was overwritten.)

Re: Tooltip for files only displaying occasionally.
If you mean the instruction on how to turn tooltips on, then I think my original comment made it clear I knew how to do that.sandradutcher wrote: 15.12.2023, 20:07 I don't know the answer. However. I think you can find something useful here: https://freecommander.com/en/faq-file-folder-list/.

Tooltip for files only displaying occasionally.
HI
Build 880 32-bit public
When I hover the cursor over files the tooltip is displaying only occasionally. It's for all types of files & the display settings (details list, thumbnail etc) makes no difference.
I've tried turning them off/on under View>Show (& saving settings) but to no avail.

Still no luck, I'm afraid.
My Tree settings are identical to yours & altering the computers settings made no difference.

Re: Open FC with the specified folder expanded in Tree windows.
Unfortunately that doesn't work for me.
The treeview remains unexpanded & the focus remains on the RH pane.
As the LH pane isn't visible, does it need to be specified?

Is there a way for Viewer (F3) to have a single instance?
Hi
https://freecommander.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1961
It's a bit hidden, but it's possible - In Viewer menu > Options > Configure... disable option "Viewer is visible in taskbar".
Is this option still available? I'm unable to locate it. Which tab is it on/has it moved?
Cheers
