Renaming Files Question
I have many files in a number of directories that look like the following:
xyz_01_UNIQUE NAME
xyz_02_UNIQUE NAME
xyz_03_UNIQUE NAME
I want to rename the files such that I only have the UNIQUE NAME..
I can do this by searching this for xyz_01_ and replacing it with nothing and then xyz_02_etc etc ...

I am using Free Commander 2009.02
I have a dozen directories and each has 50 or more files in them. They are on 6 different virtual drives and cannot be combined because of their size.
I would like to see all the file names combined into one list alphabetically.

How to uncampress *.rar
I have decided to stick with WinXP.
On my previous set up of Free Commander I had a right click option to un rar and to un zip files but I can't remember how I achieved this. Can somebody please advise.

Is anybody running Free Commander on Windows 7 RC?
I love this program and use it many times everyday.
If it can't be used with Win 7 can someone please suggest a similar program that can be used.

I hace just started using Win 7 and I installed Free Commander 2009.
I have 4 vitual drives / C D E and F plus a DVD drive.
Free commander only sees the C Drive. Is FC compatible with Win &?

Since I installed FC 2009.2 the incidence of this fault has diminished, but it occurred 3 times today. I have just noticed that when the right click fault appears I lose all activity of the top two rows of FC ie File,Edit.Folder etc and the row of icons below.

Right Click Problem
Occasionally I lose the right mouse button control. I click but the right click menu does not come up which means I can't do anything except drag files around.It may work for an hour or two but then its gone and I need to close the program and then re open it. This usually solves the problem.
