I tested it again, on a Win98 this time. Result: If I set the menu to store settings in AppData, it works well!
But if I use the "/Ini=..." command-line parameter, it will always set the left panel to the working directory.

I found a wierd thing: Our users have restricted accounts, on Windows XP workstations. We deploy FreeCommander 2007.10a centrally, and relocate the INI file to C:\Docs&Settings\User\AppData folder. The issue is: if we do so, the left panel always show the working directory set in the shortcut ...
