Found the source of the problem: custom preview handler in MS Power Toys.
The solution:
Turn off preview handler for "source code files" and then , somehow, MSG previews as normal.

Tried some of the older portable version, - with same result.
Tried to run FreeCommander XE as Admin, - then preview of msg-files works.
So it's probably some security settings on my PC that have changed, - but then preview still works in explorer somehow....

Preview of Outlook email files (msg) doesn't - work (as it should) in FreeCommander anymore.
At least not on this PC...
First part of all email is displaying / substituted with:

1 [Dummy]
2
... and lots of with space

as this:

Preview works fine i ms ...

Looks like it's related to the use of Comodo Internect Security 8.1.0.4426.
Exiting a CIS makes Freecommander behave normal.

Freecommander 2015.686 keeps running in background after exiting.

I use FreeCommander XE to preview email saved as *.htm, *.eml, *.mht.
Problem is that by doing that XE alway sets the registry value of HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\GlobalUserOffline to 1

This makes other programs misbehave until i start iexplorer and reconnects ...
