Drive letters are no longer sorted in the drivebar (V 650 was the last one to show a correct order).
Actually the drives are always sorted according to their volume name but this is not what one expects when the drive letters are displayed.
Example : the bar displays
R V X W Y D E C
because the ...

Re: Can't rename file / folder
" 123" and "123" are seen as identical by windows. This is why you can't simply delete a space at the beginning. Maybe FC should not allow names starting with a space character, as Explorer.
If you want to get rid of a leading space you can do it in two rename steps. First replace the space by any ...

Re: Disable the Big Icon that follows the cursor while dragg
Thanks a lot.
I looked at the drag&drop settings but I could not imagine that this 'blocking mode" was responsible for the icon :!
You were right to move the topic to the discussion, my mistake.

High CPU usage found here too
W7 64 quadcore : 25% full core
XP 32 single core : 85 %
No obvious reason : everything idle
Confirm the tree trick to - momentarily - get back to normal <1% usage

Re: Auto-expand when hovering folder in the tree works only
It's not exactly the same problem, Scoyy_Y, but yes it is related to the behaviour of the tree autoexpansion when drag-dropping onto it.
There are actually 3 misbehaviours
- the one above : auto expansion takes place only once. If you collapse an expanded folder then it will not autoexpand the next ...

Re: 590 - Problems with Windows Shortcuts
May be the followings might help you.
On 64b sytems the 32b apps can access files in System32 through a shortcut
provided the target path is rewritten as
c:\windows\sysnative\a64exe
Sysnative is recognized by 32b apps, like FCXE, as the true System32, not redirected
to Syswow64.

591 Only settings for quickviever are saved
I have set viewer settings to be identical for View and Quickview
HOWEVER
Plugins and other settings that are set in the general Options/Settings/View/Viewer
are not saved - they do not survive a restart. In fact they are not applied to any of the Viewer and Quickviewer.

Auto-expand when hovering folder in the tree works only once
Want to move a file to some folder.
Drag the file and move to the folder in the tree.
The folder tree expands automatically after a small delay.
Do what you want with the dragged file
Everything works correctly till now.

Re: Incomplete context menu
What does not work on my Win7 x64 is the right click context menu. Some menus are present, others not, like 7zip or iZarc. It's not a critical bug, just annoying. Note that iZarc is a 32 bits application.

This would make things nicer when comparing FAT and NTFS
folders because of the 2 second uncertainty on FAT records
and the different ways the summer time is taken into account.
