R355 - Settings - Start Program - Config File

The setting for Config File was "Specific for user - "Application Data" folder

Vista 32 SP1.
Upgraded from R352.
Each time freeCommander R352 started, it's using user specific "Application Data" folder - in my case
C:\Users\Jeff\AppData\Roaming\freeCommander\FreeCommander.ini

After R355 installed, upon first time starting freeCommander, it defaults back to the install folder.
After change the setting, freeCommander picks up the correct settings.

Best Regards,

Jeff

I can not reproduce your problem.

To reproduce, first, we need to confirm that you are using user specific settings:

1. Make sure you have previously selected "Specific for user" under Settings/Start Program - it allows FC to create the INI file (freeCommander.ini) in C:\Users\user_id\AppData\Roaming\freeCommander folder.
2. After choose "Specific for user", make some visual change - i.e. Size, Location, open Tabs, etc.
3. Exit FreeCommander to save the change or select Extra/Save Settings.
4. Restart FreeCommander to confirm the change is saved.

To reproduce,
1. Re-install FreeCommander.
2. Start FreeCommander - you should see that it is NOT using your 'user specific' settings.
3. Change the option, and restart FreeCommander.
4. You should now see the user specific settings.

Jeff

I have made exactly the same steps - no problem.

How can I correct this error on my system? A fresh INI file?

Thanks.

Best,

Jeff

Yes, or perhaps you could send your INI file to Marek.
