I like this program a lot, except for "favorites" function.. is the only way to set a favorite to "edit" the favorites folder and TYPE IN the location?? no "add to favorites" command at currect location so current location is added to favorites???? this I have never seen in a file manager (and I have been testing a lot of them..)
thank you..

Hi Maya
I am having difficulty understanding your issue, The favorite folders auto populates the left and right pane paths when you create a new entry. After this is done you then have the option to manually change the fields if needed.
If this does not help then please let me know.

maya, do you mean like the Favorites menu in Internet Explorer?
Web browsers do have an option to automatically add the currently selected item to the browser "favorites" list. I've actually used it to list some files and folders on my local hard-drive, so they are quickly available while I'm using Internet Explorer (or CrazyBrowser, my most-used browser).
I agree, it would be nice if file managers had that capability.

ok, here's issue:
when I'm in a folder I want to able to, just like in browsers (and many other file-mgr programs like this one), go to favorites --> add to favorites, and it should add the current folder I'm in to the favorites, and next time I click on "favorites" menu one of the choices should be location I added to favorites earlier... NOTHING unusual about this.. except in Free Commander the only thing that happens is when I mouse over "favorites" icon in top toolbar I just get a "tool tip" that says "Favorites Folder edit -- Shift+Ctrl+F" -- so I do Shift+Ctrl+F and I just get a little window where to TYPE IN a location.... is this the only way to add a location to favorites? to manually TYPE IT IN?? (the "browse" icons in this little window DO NOT WORK, nothing happens when I click on them.. ) am running FC on Vista Ultimate... this program is supposed to run ok in Vista, right???
thank you..

You can use also the Favorite tools, then just hold Alt key and drag the folder to fav. bar to add to fav. tools.
I agree, "add to favorites" in menu, button, or sub-button or/and keyboard shortcut to add a folder to favorites and add a folder/file to favorite tools would be useful and more user friendly.
