Hi,

From time to time, I get crashes, when I try to connect to a different server.
When I then start FC again, it will again crash, and this after the first typed "\".
I dont know when it happens, but it happenend to me in the last week maybe over 10 times.
Any others ?

Hi.

Sorry to bring this up again.
I still have this problem and it is very annoying, because I always have to mount a drive instead of just be able to jump to the network share.
Although it seems now to be, that even if I start to type a driveletter it crashes.
I am using Vista 32 / German.
It seems not to be on XP.

What about log from the debug version? You can find debug version on the beta site.

I installed it, but pretty weird, the file will not be produced.

I dont know what happens here.
It looks really like a vista only stuff.
Maybe Data Execution Prevention (DEP) tears FC down ?

When exactly have you the crash?

right away after i hit ALT+G and then start typing.
in my case it is ofter a "\" but it can also be a drive letter as I found out.

I tested another thing.
When the folder is e.g. on c:\
and i press ALT+G to get into the line and then start to add a letter to the c:\ to fulfill it to c:\temp it will crash right after I type the "t".
So it seems it will act weird when I type something at the end of the line.
When I edit the line e.g. from c:\temp to c:\temap, it will not crash.

So far I had no crashes anymore accessing server-shares.
Did you expect it to be fixed ?
