700 - Total7zip can't pack

I've never had any problems with the Total7zip plugin so far.
FCXE 700 immediately crashes when I try to pack files via plugin.
Unpacking is no problem.

Could you please give more detailed description - in what format are you trying to pack file, what are the settings for Total7Zip, are you sure Total7Zip is used to pack files...
I don't experience any problems with my updated version of Total7Zip in FC XE 32-bit. Try updated plugin
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6924
I tried to pack file to .7z format and everything is fine.
In my settings Total7Zip is placed first. Internal fcRar and fcZip plugins go after it.
Extensions for Total7Zip plugin are - 7z.xz.bzip2.gzip.tar.wim (because Total7Zip can pack files only to that types of archives, and for zip packing I use internal fcZip plugin)

thank for the answer - you made my day, it's working again.
after further crashes and deeper investigation I remembered that I once had an obscure problem with Total7zip.xml years ago.
replacing Total7zip.xml with a backup version solved my problem.

oh, no!
just worked a couple of times.
now broken again - with no change in any settings!
FXCE x64
Total7zip x64
no matter if packing .7z or .rar or .zip
internal zip/rar disabled
same settings, same plugin in .698 works perfectly well

btw
on default Settings dialogue the Tools are missing - resizing the dialogue window solves the problem.
perhaps it's just because I've got a high resolution screen, but tools definitely should be shown!

no matter if packing .7z or .rar or .zip
As I already wrote - Total7Zip and even 7-Zip CAN'T pack to rar format (it can only unpack such type of files)!!!
It could be the source of a crash.
See
http://7-zip.org/
Supported formats:
Packing / unpacking: 7z, XZ, BZIP2, GZIP, TAR, ZIP and WIM
Unpacking
only: AR, ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DMG, EXT, FAT, GPT, HFS, IHEX, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, QCOW2, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, UDF, UEFI, VDI, VHD, VMDK, WIM, XAR and Z.
Have you tried updated plugin based on current 7-Zip 15.10 beta? Just delete folder with your old plugin and unpack archive to the same destination. Do not overwrite files (because language file names were changed in 7-Zip 15.XX).

hi timon, I really apprecitate your efforts for me.
but believe me on my machine I have frequent crashes when I try to pack files with FCXE 700 and Total7zip.
1) I updated due to this post:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6924
2) I re-updated Total7zip & FCXE 700 when problems started
3) I tried to pack .7z --> crash (I also tried .zip and .rar --> crash and crash)
now I click on run, and watch the result:
4) 698 does not have that problem (neither for .7z nor .zip or .rar)
5) freshly installed portable version of 700 definitely crashes on my machine
I dare not say it is FCXE 700, it also could be my machine - but it happens here and it is reproducable

alwaysWait7zip=1
o.k., I see you don't have any packing issues with FCXE 700 and Total7zip, so it must be my configuration.
strangely enough ... oh, oh, oh - just now there was a flash in my brain.
could you please try to run FXCE as administrator and tell me what happens when packing data with Total7zip?!?

@Karol, thanks for answering.
on my machine
runas Administator --> crash when packing with Total7zip.
normal start --> no problem.
it's not a big deal for me - changed my batch file and now everything works as desired.
