Hello,

How does one open a folder from FCXE into Windows Explorer? For example, in Windows Explorer I can right click a folder and click "open in new window." When I right click a folder in FCXE, I don't have that option.

I'd like to do this so I can right click a file or folder and rename it—this is something I can do in Explorer but not in FCXE. Is there a way to enable this in FCXE?

Ah, I figured the answer to my first question myself: just clicking open from the right click menu in FCXE opens the folder in Windows Explorer.

And regarding the renaming, I'm able to rename individual files and folders in FCXE. However, I'm not able to rename more than one at a time, e.g. if I select multiple folders to rename and right click on them, there is no option to rename them all. This option is available in Windows Explorer.

For 2nd issue: just hit File->Multirename... (or Ctrl+M shortcut).

I also think that one of the reasons that Windows Explorer offers a "open in new window" option is that it does not have the concept of tabs. If you want multiple folders open, or even the same folder multiple times, you have to use multiple windows.
With Free Commander and other tabbed file managers you can open open your folder in another tab.
