I placed the icon for calling the filter dialogue into the splitter. as far as I remember the filter dialogue popped up nearby. in the actual version it pops up in the upper left corner of the left pane, which is quite far away especially on a big monitor...
I couldn't find any settings for positioning the dialogue.

Also noticed this and now I use a workaround:



Now, hit the arrow instead of the button (doesn't matter that my button is on the address bar):
